The move from peer to leader: authority, credibility and letting go of doing it all yourself. What changes on day one, and the traps new supervisors fall into.

Entry requirements

This award is open to professionals with some workplace experience. A minimum of 2 years working experience, or 1 A Level and 5 O Levels, is preferable. You need a working command of English and access to a computer with a stable internet connection. No prior management qualification is required.

Method of assessment

Assessment is a work-based written assignment of 1,500 words, completed in your own time after the sessions. It asks you to apply the award to your own team. Pass the assignment and you receive the Auren award at MQF Level 4. There is no exam.

The award is delivered only by qualified and experienced trainers, each matched to the sector so the examples, scenarios and coaching reflect the work you actually do. Every trainer is a practitioner with real supervisory and management experience, and all content is quality assured and reviewed periodically by internal and external auditors.

Because this award is accredited at MQF Level 4, both employer and individual JobsPlus routes can apply. Applications are subject to eligibility and approval.

JobsPlus Investing in Skills (employers)

Malta-based employers can apply to the Investing in Skills scheme for co-financing of approved training costs (70% for small and micro employers, 60% for medium and 50% for large). Applications must be submitted at least 7 calendar days before the start date, and claims reference groups of up to 10 trainees. Live online delivery is eligible where JobsPlus is given access to monitor sessions. Scheme details.

JobsPlus MySkills (individuals and employees)

Employed individuals can apply to JobsPlus MySkills for co-financing of approved training costs (up to 80%), and unemployed or inactive individuals up to 100%, capped at 5,000 euro per application.
