UK Fire Safety in Residential Property: Advanced
Regulatory compliance - Property & Real Estate
What compliance leaders do to run fire safety across a portfolio
This course is for the people who lead fire safety across a UK residential portfolio - heads of compliance, building safety managers, directors, accountable persons and senior operations leaders - and takes you from running the buildings to governing the system. It builds on the Building Safety Act 2022, the Fire Safety Order and the 2026 residential evacuation duty.
You'll learn how to set a portfolio fire safety strategy, meet the Building Safety Act duties for higher-risk buildings, build and maintain the golden thread, govern fire safety from the board down, manage cladding and remediation exposure, and respond to inspection and enforcement. By the end, you'll be able to answer the board's question, model the firm's sentencing exposure, and assure and improve the system against what is coming.

Course FAQ's
Who is this course for?
This course is for compliance leaders in residential property: heads of compliance, building safety managers, directors, accountable persons and senior operations leaders who own the fire safety strategy, the higher-risk building duties, governance, remediation, and the response to inspection and enforcement.
Where and when can I take this course?
The course can be taken at any time and from any internet-connected device.
Do I need prior knowledge or experience?
Yes. This is the Advanced course in the programme and assumes you already run fire safety operations. It is pitched at compliance leadership, so a working knowledge of the Fire Safety Order, fire risk assessments and day-to-day building operations is expected. If you are newer to the topic, start with the Foundation or Intermediate course first.
Can this course be used for company-wide training?
Absolutely. This course is designed to be rolled out across the whole organisation, making it suitable for every employee, line manager, and team member responsible for your residential buildings.
Do I get a discount if I buy multiple seats for this course?
Yes. Please contact us and we will issue a quote according to your needs.
Will managers be able to track progress and completion?
Yes. Managers get clear visibility on engagement and outcomes, making it easier to monitor participation, support staff where needed, and evidence completed fire safety training to auditors and inspectors.
Is this course part of a larger fire safety programme?
Yes. This is Course 3 (Advanced), the final course in the three-part UK Fire Safety in Residential Property programme. It follows Course 1 (Foundation, awareness) and Course 2 (Intermediate, operations), and takes senior leaders from running the buildings to governing fire safety across the whole portfolio.
