UK Building Safety Act: Advanced
Property & Real Estate - Regulatory compliance
This is the duty-holder's course. It is for Accountable Persons, Principal Accountable Persons, heads of compliance, general counsel, and owner-operator and developer compliance leads who carry the legal risk under the Building Safety Act 2022. It covers the duties in their own right: determining who the Accountable Person and Principal Accountable Person are, owning the safety case strategy, the Building Safety Regulator relationship, criminal liability and the enforcement ladder, the Gateway regime for works, and portfolio-level governance.
By the end, you'll be able to determine the Accountable Person and Principal Accountable Person under section 72, own the safety case strategy with ALARP reasoning and governance sign-off, run certification and the Building Safety Regulator relationship, assess criminal liability and the enforcement ladder, apply the Gateway regime to higher-risk building work, and govern building safety across a portfolio.
