MLR 2017 for Estate and Letting Agents: Intermediate
Property & Real Estate - Regulatory compliance
This course is for the estate and letting agency staff who actively run customer due diligence - negotiators, valuers, and administrators who already know the MLR 2017 basics and now do the work. It teaches the risk-based approach in practice, how to trace beneficial ownership when a chain runs offshore, how to evidence source of funds and source of wealth, how to screen for PEPs and sanctions, and how to draft an internal SAR the Nominated Officer can use.
By the end, you will be able to write a matter-level risk note, read a PSC register and a Register of Overseas Entities filing, calibrate the evidence you collect to the risk band, apply the PEP and sanctions regimes correctly, and draft an internal SAR in NCA-quality form - every step traceable to MLR 2017, POCA 2002, or the supervisor's guidance.
